OOC InformationFlatLine and RP revolving around it is set in an alternate, dark future, dystopian timeline separate from Eorzea as we know it, but still within it. Magic is little to none, so rare at this point that seeing it is considered just short of seeing a miracle. The varying arts of aetheric manipulation have been lost to time in this version of Eorzea, one that is now dominated by highly advanced technology. Everyone packs iron and chrome in this world and is expected to RP accordingly. The world FlatLine exists within is based heavily off of Cyberpunk 2077 and the TTRPG, events from it may be referenced but are not required to have in-depth knowledge of its world to engage and enjoy RP here. However, the world is not limited to CP2077 and mixing concepts, locations, terminology, etc. from other franchises is allowed and encouraged so long as an explanation is possible. An example of this may be if a character were to refer to a location such as Sarif Industries HQ (Deus Ex: Human Revolution) but someone familiar with both DX and 2077 would know that Detroit, where Sarif Ind. HQ is, is a little different in 2077. Instead of just being a city, part of Detroit is a combat zone that has been walled off. Since Flatline is set in Eorzea still however, none of these locations technically exist. So we can just explain it away as "being on an orbital station" or something to that effect. Cyberware, Augmentations, etc. can also be interlinked as well as taking the creative freedom to make your own ideas become part of FlatLine's reality. So long as you can explain it meaningfully and reasonably.
Finally, please note that when we run official RP events, typically referred to as gigs, it will be run by an official FlatLine GM or "Fixer". Nobody else is authorized to do so, as Fixers have the final say in any RP conducted within FlatLine.

IC InformationFlatLine, a place for Mercs, Gangers, and all sorts of scum to convene into a melting pot of degeneracy before or after a long night of work. Need cash? Then you need a gig. To get a gig, you need a Fixer. To get your Fixer, you come to FlatLine. The bar made a name for itself originally as being a reliable place to find information, get a drink and a joytoy, then leave a satisfied streetrat. Then local Fixers came along, made the underground biz official in a certain capacity. Rose Blackflame was the first of the Fixers that came to FlatLine and now she owns the fuckin' place. "Queen of the Fixers" here so to speak but that's not all she does either. She'll get you a drink, a gig, and blow you for a hefty fee before you can even snap your fingers. She might own the place but she ain't afraid to do the dirty work when it needs done and her dedication demands respect even if she is on her knees for ya, you'll have a lot of enemies be made real quick if you don't respect her vibe, she's the Queen for a reason. The original gonk who started the place up has been long gone, before Rose took up the mantle she organized a gig involving the owner. Plenty of patrons saw 'em leave, but the gonk-brained bar owner never came back. Some say Rose set him up secretly, made him disappear so she could take the place for herself. Truth is, she earned it even before that gig. She prepped plenty of heists, drug deals, arms deals... ESPECIALLY arms deals. Lady knows quality iron like a Ripper knows anatomy, if you wanna pack the best heat, you talk to Rose before anyone else. Other than gigs, guns, drugs, or whatever other street shit you wanna get into, FlatLine is also a great place to blow off steam after all the biz is said and done. Want a cute guy, gal, or NB pal to give you some company? FlatLine has you covered. The "drinks and joytoys" bit was 100% serious, and if you ask the right people you can probably make a fun bet here and there for an extra enny. The possibilities are limitless...
